Launch Day:  Wed. Nov 30

2:40-3:40

MORE SCIENCE, MORE LEARNING,
 MORE FUN!

That’s what we’ll be doing this Fall in all our
 Liftoff! Rocketry
School Programs!

This Fall we have changed things up quite a bit!  For the past
6 years we have focused our programs on learning about
Rocketry through the construction and launching of
 model rockets.
It has BEEN GREAT, learning while having FUN!

However, our classes have been at the most 3 days,
so there was limited time to REALLY get into the SCIENCE
of it all, having time constraints for completing the work
our rockets, and only a  certain amount of time to learn
some of the laws which pertain to rocketry.

This Fall our classes will be for 5 weeks on Wednesdays.

During those 5 weeks, we will construct a rocket and flying
saucer for Launch Day and  we will also have TIME
to get involved with hands-on experiments (FUN STUFF!)
that will teach the students more of the SCIENCE relative
to Rocketry.

We have some very cool activities lined up: Constructing Foam
Rockets and charting how varying designs affect flight,

constructing Rocket Race Cars which will allow us to delve
into some of Newton’s Laws,  Having Fun with Polymers,
some Solar hands on actvities,  Launch Day,
and more thrown into all of that!

Dates are:  Wednesdays:   Oct 26,  Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16,
                     Nov 30

Times are: Upon dismissal until 4:00 EXCEPT on Oct 26
(Early Release Day finished  at 2 pm)

Tuition: $79/student (everything included 7.5 hours)

The class is limited to 25 students, and spots do fill

THE BIG OL'  FAT BABY BERTHA ROCKET IS COMING TO STILL!

This is one of our favorite rockets!
It is challenging enough for established Rocketeers and appropriate for First Time Rocket Students.

This is  a 3-day class.  Class #1 - we will construct 90% of our rocket.  Rockets will be taken back to the Rocket Shop to be spray Painted a base color (choices given) and then returned to students in their next class.

Class #2 - We will finish constructing the rocket,  decorate, and Prep it for Flight for Launch Day.  Here students will learn about engines, insulation, Flight, and Launch Day procedures.

On Launch day the Rockets will be  given to the students (theirs to keep after Launching).  Students will launch their rockets once, individually, and then in a drag race with their friends,, usually 5 in the air at once!  Lots of fun!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

A percentage of tuition is donated  to the Still  !  Thanks for your participation!
