I looked forward to rocket club every year.  It is my favorite thing to do in the whole world.

We get to build our very own rockets and decorate and paint them what ever color we want.  We make different kinds too and when we finish with them we get to blast them off and watch how high they can fly!

The Liftoff Rocketry program is an awesome program, and has been so well received by the students at Lewis!   The enrollment  has grown tremendously with each class, and even the parents get excited and amazed during the launches!  Jeanette is a true professional in the administration of the program, but it is her passion for rockets (she calls herself a "geek"!) and her love for children that allows the kids to have so much fun and learn all the while!  It has been without a doubt our most loved program here at Lewis!

Can I help with anything else?  I've been teaching model rocketry for twenty years through Civil Air Patrol, and was impressed with your operations last year.

If you'd like, I used to work on payloads at Kennedy Space Center and can speak to what it's like to work as an engineer on the space shuttle and expendables at CCAFS (and with astronauts), or what my company

(Lockheed) is doing with the design of Orion/Ares, the new man-rated launch vehicle. I've spoken before to classes from age K-4 up to high school.

My Son Cason & I have had an outstanding experience the last 2 years with Jeanette & The Liftoff Rocketry Program at Kemp ES. It has been a great experience & a lot of fun for my Son to build & fly his own rocket. Jeanette does a great job & makes it fun for the Kids. Cason cannot wait for the next class & launch!!
